Wedding Dress Trends for 2022

Wedding Dress Trends for 2022

While there are plenty of wedding dress styles that remain popular year after year (think strapless gowns, A-line silhouettes, etc.), there are trends this year that are really making their mark on the bridal industry! We love getting ready for the next season of wedding dresses, and this year is no different. Today we’re going to share some of the top wedding dress trends for 2022 and a few of our favorite gowns!

Colorful Hues

Don't follow the rules, break them! This season, designers have embraced colorful fabrics when designing their pieces, and that's exactly what they personify. Bridalwear designers are breaking traditions, embracing individuality, and pushing the boundaries. Gowns like this pink floral dress from Sottero and Midgley are breaking the rules of what a wedding dress “should” be!

Square Necklines

Bridal fashion often overlooks the neckline of a dress, which is one of its most important components. A new emphasis has been placed on this design detail in this season's collections. There's no denying that sweetheart necklines are also having their moment, but square necklines have taken the runway by storm. Square necklines are perfect for brides going for a modern and chic wedding day look.

Corset Bodices

Back and better than ever is the reemergence of corset bodices. This structural element allows brides to accentuate their figures, while still paying homage to the traditional silhouette of a wedding gown. We’re absolutely head over heels for this gorgeous beaded corset-style bodice!

Balloon Sleeves

Regency-era "puff" sleeves were a major trend last season and continue to dominate bridal fashion. This trend is super versatile, with bridal designers offering everything from bohemian sleeves to Briderton-inspired puff sleeves. It’s a modern day twist on an older style that we love!

High-Necklines

There’s no doubt about it, high necklines are having a moment this year! What brides and designers alike are loving about this trend is that it adds a classic touch to any silhouette while providing extra coverage for those who like a more modest vibe. It also allows for more intricate detailing on the bodice!
